Metropolitan - Micropolitan Area State Maps
The following are links to PDF maps for each state which show the county composition of the Metropolitan and Micropolitan areas in the state.
If the area name includes more than one state, then the statistical area has "leaked over" to include at least one county in the bordering state, which should also be reviewed to see all of the counties included in the area.
The maps are provided as a courtesy. POLICOM utilizes maps which show the statistical area boundaries for its research and has mapped the Metropolitan and Micropolitan areas for that purpose.
Maps have been generated for the Metropolitan and Micropolitan Statistical Areas based on OMB Bulletin 23-01. The lines on the maps point to the "metropolitan or micropolitan area" and not specifically to the location of the central city - the name of the area - which might be different than the point of the line.
While believed to be accurate, POLICOM does not warrant the accuracy of the maps.
Office of Management and Budget Bulletin No. 23-01.
